Alamden Lake Park - Picnic Information

 
ALMADEN LAKE PARK
Picnic Areas
Almaden Lake Park is located on Almaden Expressway at Coleman Avenue. This 65-acre park offers year-round activities that include wind-surfing, fishing with a valid California fishing license, and access to the Los Alamitos/Calero Creek trail.

A supervised swim and beach area is open Wednesdays through Sundays between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Parking is $6.00 per vehicle.

There are five (5) reservable group picnic areas that can accommodate from 40 to 200 people as well as non-reservable picnic sites that are available first-come, first-serve. Alcoholic beverages are allowed in picnic areas only and are limited to beer and wine.

Air jumpers are not allowed in this park.

For areas that accommodate up to 40 people, link
For areas that accommodate up to 45 people, link
For areas that accommodate up to 100 people, link
For areas that accommodate up to 200 people, link
For Groups up to 40 people:
Lakeview Picnic Area is located at the west side of the park and overlooks the swim and beach area with four tables and one medium size barbecue.
Reservation for this area must be made in person at Leininger Center located in Kelley Park at 1300 Senter Road. Office hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.

For Groups up to 45 people:
Tamien Picnic Area is located at the west side of the park 100 yards fro a swim and beach area with six tables and one large barbecue.
Reservations for this area must be made in person at Leininger Center located in Kelley Park at 1300 Senter Road. Office hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.

For Groups up to 100 people:
The following two reservable picnic areas are located on the east side of the park near the Los Alamitos/Calero Creek Trail.
Southpoint Picnic Area has 19 tables and two barbecues.
Quicksilver Picnic Area has 19 tables and one extra-large barbecue.
Reservations for either of these areas must be made in person at Leininger Center located in Kelley Park at 1300 Senter Road. Office hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.

For Groups up to 200 people:
The following reservable picnic area is located on the east side of the park near the Los Alamitos/Calero Creek Trail. This site is on the opposite side of the lake from the swim area.
The Arroyo Picnic Area has twenty tables (ten are shaded), two large and four small barbecues, two sinks and two prep tables.
Reservations for this area must be made in person at Leininger Center located in Kelley Park at 1300 Senter Road. Office hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.
