Rules and Waiver

  Skate Park Waiver

All skaters and bikers must have a signed waiver on file with LCRSP Staff before skating.

If the individual is under 18, the waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian must be present. If the parent or legal guardian is not present, the signed form must be notarized.

Providing false information may result in the skater or biker being barred from using LCRSP facilities.

Skate Park Rules

We hope you enjoy your Skate Park.  Let us work together to keep it safe.  This Skate Park is supervised by City of San Jose Parks, Recreations and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) Staff.

To ensure a happy and safe skating experience, all Skate Park users are responsible for knowing and complying with these rules:

  1. Each skater must have a liability waiver on file before skating.  If the skater is under 18, his/her parent/legal guardian must sign the waiver. Parent signatures not provided in the presence of Skate Park Staff are subject to verification.
  1. All skaters must wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads at all times while skating.
  1. Only skateboards and inline skates with composite wheels are allowed.  BMX Bicycles are allowed only during designated posted times.  See separate rules for BMX Bicycles.
  1. No food, beverages, containers or personal items are allowed in the skating area (inside safety rails).
  1. The Skate Park is to be used as designed.  No modifications (including additional ramps, jumps or obstacles) to any skate surface or features are allowed.
  1. No smoking is permitted.  Use of tobacco products, alcohol or illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
  1. No graffiti or littering; be sure to recycle and dispose of trash in designated containers.
  1. Skate within your ability level.
  1. Skaters must follow the direction of staff at all times.  Staff decisions are final.
  1. Recklessness, horseplay, foul language, fighting, or any disruptive or dangerous behavior will not be tolerated and will subject you to removal from the Park.
  1. Skaters should report all injuries to Skate Park Staff immediately.

Any violation of park rules may result in closure of the skate park without notice for a period of time based on the seriousness of the violation.

This skate park was built for your enjoyment, please skate safely and responsibly!
