New Dog Park
Selma Olinder Dog Park
San Jose’s newest dog park, located within Selma Olinder Park, is situated on a three-quarter-acre site at the south end of the park and is designed with pet-friendly amenities including a double-gated entry, separate large and small dog areas, fencing and benches. The design of the dog park fits within the guidelines of the City’s Greenprint for Parks and Community Facilities and Programs. The facility is designed to accommodate 20 to 30 dogs at one time. It’s surfacing consists mainly of wood chips and decomposed granite to minimize operation and maintenance costs. Mature trees, preserved and protected during construction, now provide valuable shade for both dogs and their owners. The dog park also includes 11 new parking spaces specifically for dog park users.
Delmas

dog park is the first joint venture between the
City of San José and the Santa Clara Valley
Transportation Authority to create a useful area
for nearby residents and their four-legged companions.
