Active Transportation

      What is Active Transportation?

Active transportation means getting out of your car and using your own power to get around. Walking and biking can often be viable alternatives to a trip by car. When acknowledging active transportation as an alternative means of transportation, we acknowledge the trail network as a transportation corridor. Consider using active transportation in your weekly commute and take advantage of the many benefits of active modes of travel.

Active transportation can provide benefits to commuter, community and the globe

  1. Great way to add more exercise into your daily routine.
  2. Save on car expenses such as gas, car maintenance and insurance costs.
  3. Enjoy being outdoors on your way to work.
  4. Bragging rights that you are doing your part to reduce pollution.
